Good bookkeeping is not a once-a-year exercise before the tax return. In the UAE it is the foundation of your VAT returns, your Corporate Tax computation, your bank relationships and every decision you make. SJPR keeps your books up to date every month, to IFRS, so the numbers are ready whenever you — or the FTA — need them.
What we do every month
- Sales, purchases and expenses posted from your documents — by upload, e-mail or the SJPR BiX app.
- Every bank, card and payment-gateway account reconciled.
- Receivables chased and payables scheduled.
- Payroll, end-of-service provisions and accruals posted.
- A month-end pack with profit, cash and what you owe in taxes.
Software that fits your business
We work in the software you already use — Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero and others — and recommend Futura, our preferred accounting software of choice, when you are starting fresh. Migrations include opening balances, VAT settings and chart of accounts reviewed for UAE Corporate Tax.
Records the law expects
UAE law requires accounting records and supporting documents to be kept for at least seven years for Corporate Tax purposes and at least five years for VAT (longer for real estate). Your documents, reconciliations and reports stay in your SJPR BiX client area, searchable and ready for an audit or an FTA review.
Frequently asked questions
Do free zone companies need bookkeeping?
Yes. Every UAE company must keep proper accounting records. Free zone companies that want the 0% Corporate Tax rate also need audited financial statements, which start from good bookkeeping.
How do I send you my documents?
Upload them in the SJPR BiX app or client area, e-mail them to your dedicated inbox, or connect your bank feeds. Most clients simply photograph receipts with the app.
Which accounting software do you use?
Whichever you already use — Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero and others. For new businesses we recommend Futura, our preferred accounting software of choice.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes. We request the handover file, review the opening balances and catch up any months that are behind, without interrupting your VAT filings.
